Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

Everything we make is meant to be lived in: salt, sun and the long road to the next swell. Please spend a moment with our size guides before you order, as our return options depend on where your order is shipped. If you're unsure of a size, email us at orders@driftersurf.com before you buy and we're happy to help.

This policy applies to orders placed on or after 4 November 2026. Orders placed before then follow the policy in place at the time of purchase.

Who can return

All countries except Indonesia, the EU and the UK (including the USA). No returns accepted. All sales are final, and we do not accept returns, exchanges or refunds for change of mind, size or fit. Damaged, faulty or incorrect items are covered below.

Indonesia. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, including for change of mind.

European Union and United Kingdom (including Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). You have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. This applies to sale items too.

How to start a return

Email orders@driftersurf.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and the reason for the return (too small, too big, change of mind, etc.). Returns can't be started through your online account. Wait for our confirmation email, which includes the return address, before sending anything. Indonesian orders can also be returned in store at Drifter Seminyak or Drifter Uluwatu within 14 days of delivery; please bring your order confirmation.

Sending your return

Items must reach us within 14 days of our confirmation email, or the return will be cancelled. You are responsible for all packaging and return shipping costs, and any customs charges on the return. We recommend a trackable service or shipping insurance for higher-value items, as we can't guarantee receipt of returns we don't receive.

Condition

Items must be unused, in the same condition you received them, with garment tags attached, in the original packaging, with the packing slip and proof of purchase. For hygiene reasons, swimwear, bikinis and boardshorts must be tried on over underwear with any hygiene liner left in place. Items that are worn, washed, stained, damaged or altered, or books with signs of use, may be refused and sent back to you, or (for EU and UK orders) refunded at a reduced amount reflecting the loss in value.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you to confirm whether it is approved. Approved refunds go to your original payment method within 14 days.

Indonesia. You can choose a refund, exchange, or store credit for our online store. We refund the product amount only; shipping costs are not refunded. If a return brings your order total below the free shipping threshold, you will receive store credit instead of a refund.

EU and UK. If you cancel your whole order, we refund the price of the items plus the original standard delivery charge; if you return part of an order, we refund the price of the returned items. We may wait until the items are back with us, or you show proof of sending, before refunding.

Customs duties and import taxes are paid by the recipient for every destination, including the USA, and are not refunded by Drifter Surf. You may be able to reclaim them from your local customs authority.

Damaged, faulty or incorrect items (all countries)

If your order arrives damaged in transit, faulty, or is not what you ordered, email orders@driftersurf.com within 7 days of receiving it, with your order number and clear photos of the item and packaging. Once confirmed, we will offer a replacement (if in stock), store credit, or a refund to your original payment method. Whether the item needs to be sent back is decided case by case; if we ask for it, we cover the return shipping.

Sale items

Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged, unless they arrive damaged, faulty or incorrect. This does not affect the legal cancellation right for EU and UK customers.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you'll receive store credit for the value of the return. Otherwise, the refund goes to the person who placed the order.

Late or missing refunds

If your refund hasn't appeared, check your bank account, then contact your card provider or bank, as refunds can take time to post. If it still hasn't arrived, contact us at orders@driftersurf.com.

Not eligible for return

Gift cards, sale items (except as above), and any return requested more than 14 days after delivery.
